OUR PHYSICIANS

For over two decades, Dr. Schwab has dedicated his professional practice to the evaluation and treatment of patients in Atlantic and Cape May County, New Jersey with gastrointestinal problems. He completed his undergraduate degree at Cornell University and subsequently earned his medical degree at the University of South Florida. Dr. Schwab then returned to New York to complete his internal medicine residency and subsequent fellowship in gastroenterology at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He then completed an additional year of training, specializing in disorders of the biliary tract including the liver, pancreas, bile ducts, and gall bladder. During his training, he was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.

Dr. Schwab continues to serve as the chairman of the Gastroenterology Division of Shore Medical Center, a position he has held since 2000. He has also been the chairman of the ethics committee at Shore Medical Center since 2000. Dr. Schwab has been appointed Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Drexel University, College of Medicine.

He is a fellow in the American College of Gastroenterology, a fellow of the American Gastroenterological Association, as well as a member of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He is an attending on staff at Shore Medical Center and AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center. He is also a consultant at Bacharach Institute for Rehabilitation. He remains board certified in both internal medicine and gastroenterology. Dr. Schwab remains very active in the community. He and his family have participated in numerous community service projects, locally, nationally, and internationally. Dr. Schwab has three convenient offices in Somers Point, Egg Harbor Township and Cape May Court House.
